Eric D. Medina, MD

Dr. Medina was born in New York City and grew up locally here in Boca Raton. He graduated Summa Cum Laude at the University of Florida with a thesis on drug development for diabetes and collected numerous honors including Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania, then the #2 ranked medical school in the world, graduating among the top in his class. He went on to complete his residency training at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He has championed advanced cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma techniques throughout his career.
He is a distinguished member of the Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and the Palm Beach Ophthalmology Society.
Furthering his mission, he is an active medical researcher and is currently an investigator for FDA-approved medical trials. He also is paying it forward by serving as an instructor and training the next generation of ophthalmologists.
Dr. Medina is fluent in both Spanish and English.
His hobbies outside surgery include world travel, photography, art, skiing, and spending time with his family.
